MAISIE BAXTER

Maisie

On 21 February 2012, we learn of the death of teen singer Maisie Baxter, a friend of teen singer Ronan Parke.

Framingham Earl school's tribute to “sunny and friendly” Maisie Baxter

Police were called to a property in the Norwich area where they found 13-year-old Maisie Baxter.

Allegedly, Maisie had been bullied. (maisie wasnt bullied?.)

(We read of the bullies jailed over a classmate's suicide and suggest that when there is very serious bullying in a school, the head teacher and governors should be sacked and the bullies given ten year jail sentences. Bullying is a serious problem in UK schools and the minister in charge of schools, Michael Gove, should have been sacked some time ago.)

Maisie attended Framingham Earl High School.

Ronan Parke

Nicola Furneaux, headteacher at Framingham Earl High, said:

"Maisie was a sunny, friendly girl and a bright student who played a full part in our school community. We will always remember her, and her beautiful singing voice; her performance at our talent show last year was one of the highlights of the competition.

"Maisie’s friends speak of her as someone who had the loveliest laugh – a warm giggle which cheered everyone. In lessons, Maisie worked hard and was a pleasure to teach."

On her Facebook page, Maisie is pictured with fellow Framingham Earl pupil Ronan Parke, who reached the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2011.

Police have given details of the death to the coroner's office and an inquest is expected to be opened.

Headteacher Ms Furneaux said the school would assist any investigation.

RONAN'S GOT TALENT; RUBY MURRAY'S A HIT; MYSTERIOUS MICHAEL JUNIOR

Ronan Parke and his friend Julia.

13-year old Ronan Parke is Britain's Justin Bieber.

Ronan was brought up in a village in Norfolk, in the UK.

His Dad is a builder and his Mum's a nurse.

Britain's Justin Bieber.

Some months ago, Ronan appeared in Britain’s Got Talent.

His outstanding voice, 'angelic looks' and huge charisma made him the bookies' favourite.

An anonymous blogger produced a post suggesting that Britain's Got Talent was rigged.

Ronan came second in the contest, presumably saving the bookies some money.

Ronan is quoted in the Daily Mail as saying:

"Mum didn't want me to see the internet blogger thing, but I did anyway.

"It was all just lies.

"I was upset that people could say things like that.

"Simon called my mum up and said he was really sorry about it and very angry.

"He is such a lovely man.

"My parents said, 'We know the truth. You just need to concentrate on your performance.'

"When I was on the stage in the final I closed my eyes and forgot about all of it.

"Then when I finished and looked at Simon he gave me a little wink.

"I thought, 'Oh,' and wanted to smile."

Ronan prefers 'fashion' and 'music' to sport.

Ronan says: "Some kids would call me 'gay' when I'd walk past them.

"Some of the other boys just care about sport. I’m not like that.

"Instead I like to plan with my best friend Julia what our flat will be like when we're older.

"But everyone on TV gets things like that and I accept it."

"Girls do come up to me crying and shaking and say, 'I love you so much.'

"One day Julia and I were walking home when two girls saw us and just stood there, screaming.

"Julia was so shocked. To her I’m just Ronan, her best friend.

"My mum says you should always be who you are.

"If you try to change, you’ll only be unhappy. I'm me."

And the kids at school? "The ones who used to shout things at me smile at me now.

"I just smile back."

Ronan Parke’s album is out on 24 October on Sony Music. http://www.ronanparke.com/

Like Ronan Parke, Ruby Murray first appeared on UK TV at the age of 12.

Ruby Murray had been been spotted by producer Richard Afton.

"Owing to laws governing children performing, Murray had to delay her start in the entertainment industry until she was 14." (Ruby Murray - Wikipedia)

In 1955 Ruby Murray had seven 'Top 10 UK hit singles.'

On 7 July 2011, we learn that Ronan Parke has now signed a record deal with Simon Cowell's Syco label.

The dawn of the Ronan empire

Ronan's contract is linked to Sony.

Cowell wants Ronan to be Britain's Justin Bieber.

There have been accusations that the result was rigged.

(THAILAND'S GOT TALENT ... AND AN EARFUL)

Rumour has it that, in order to arrange Myra's victory, Myra's wealthy father spent at least a million baht.

The criticism of the voting has hit Unilever (Unilever Thai Trading), which spent 200 million baht to get the show rights from London.

Unilever has been accused of rigging the results.

Some angry viewers posted on the internet that they would stop using Unilever products such as Sunsilk shampoo and Rexona deodorant.

Some said the voting process lacks accountability.

Myra will become the new presenter for Sunsilk shampoo.

She receives a 10-million-baht prize.

And, she will become a singer under the Sony Music label.

In May 2008, the UK's Serious Fraud Office was considering an investigation into a series of phone-vote scandals at ITV.

This included the rigging of an award for Ant and Dec, the hosts of 'Britain's Got Talent'.

Fraud police could investigate Ant and Dec's TV voting fix Showbiz

In May 2008, the UK's TV watchdog, Ofcom, warned of "systemic and widespread" problems affecting all broadcasters.

In May 2008, the TV watchdog handed ITV a £5.7million fine for abusing premium rate phone services in viewer competitions.

In 2005, in ITV's British Comedy Awards, the Catherine Tate Show was robbed of a prize.

Tate got more votes from viewers than Ant and Dec's 'Saturday Night Takeaway'.

But, Ant and Dec's programme was announced as the winner of the People's Choice Award.

Ofcom chief executive Ed Richards told a committee of MPs that during a previous case concerning GMTV, the Serious Fraud Office had asked to see the files.

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, Gameshow Marathon and Soapstar Superstar were all found to have "serious editorial issues".

Three competitions on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway were found to be in breach of the regulators' codes.

On Soapstar Superstar, producers overrode the viewers' vote, so the wrong participants were put forward for eviction.

ITV made £7.8million from uncounted votes from the programmes involved.

Jai McDowall

On 10 June 2011, Jai McDowall, the Britain's Got Talent winner, had still not been given a recording deal, almost a week after winning the TV contest.

Jai said: “Simon Cowall spoke to me after the final but said he is very busy with American X Factor at the moment."

Simon Cowall is the music mogul in charge of 'Britain's Got talent'.

In the past has wasted no time in signing up the winners from Britain’s Got Talent.

In 2007, Paul Pott was given a record contract within 48 hours of winning the contest.

In 2009, Susan Boyle, runner-up in the contest, got a deal within five days.

RIGGED - BOXING AND MUSIC?

Muhammad Ali - were any of his fights fixed?

In 2010, an England cricket star was under police protection after being targeted by a betting syndicate.

(Star under police protection after threats from betting syndicate ...)

Anonymous sent the following message:

"I knew football-players and boxers in 50's London, and 'bought' matches were the norm, all to get the best odds.

"Heard the same about horse-racing, cricket and tennis too.

"Many earned far more money 'under the table' than they ever could actually trying to win.

"But not all were on the take: Cooper, Mills, Eamonn Andrews, for example, never threw a match, always fought to win; the bookies would find all sorts of ways to sway the odds to compensate, as they attracted a LOT of betting, mostly illegal money from various sources being 'cleaned'.

Henry Cooper

"Henry Cooper did throw one match, but not for money.

"He realised Cassius Clay (Ali) was under the thumb of the American mafia and the betting on him was astronomical.

"We are talking several hundred million dollars here, ok?

"Ali was a dead man if he lost the match.

"So he allowed him to use 'Henry's Eyes' to win the match.

"But it almost went belly-up; Henry wanted to make a point; that he was quiet capable of winning the heavyweight title (and he was); he was the better boxer (he was) and floored Ali 8 seconds before the bell, giving him time to recover during the break.

"But Ali took one of the best of 'Henry's Hammers' and was in dire-straights, hence the illegal activities in his corner (not only 'the glove', but using smelling-salts to revive a boxer was/is illegal).

"Ali has now publically confessed to all this.

"He later offered Henry a lot of money in compensation, but Henry refused.

Freddie Mills

"It is said Freddie Mills was bankrupt when he died: I knew Freddie personally and know different, he had just run out of legitimate money (fighting-off the Kray Twins trying to take over his nightclub) he was having trouble using the ten-times the purse 'illegal' money he had hidden-away to cover it, as the taxman would wonder where it came from.

"I knew one Swedish boxer who's wife would, every single match, ring an hour before the match and say he was sick, couldn't box.

"The organisers went mad; the punters (read: mafia) had placed huge bets and wouldn't be happy - ie they were dead! 'We'll give you 5 times the agreed official fee, cash, if you get him here, no matter how bad he is he can do his best for 2-3 rounds, we'll get the other boxer to go easy. Deal?'

"She would VERY reluctantly agree.

"And, once in the ring he would beat the shit out of the poor guy 'taking it easy', surprised at how lacklustre the guy was; an off-day?

"And thus would slip the poor sod a few notes after the match, to help him out.

"For he was in perfect health.

"She earned more money out of his boxing than HE did using various scams as this.

"For he didn't know.

"When he found out, now serving 2 years in jail for insurance-fraud as she reported his fancy and expensive cars stolen after selling them, forging his signature on the bill-of-sale she gave the insurance company, he divorced her.

"Where there's money there's betting, and why should modern showbiz be different.

"I've always thought this talent stuff, the phone-ins, were rigged.

"Pushing pop-stars became big business in the 50's, the new post-war youth generation a prime source of easy money ...and perfectly legal... if you ignore the triple-fee under the table to get a group onstage despite the 'falling sick, car's broke-down miles away, can't afford to fix it', call it what you will.

"The fans would rip the place apart if they guys didn't show; it was cheaper to pay-out.

"Money the manager would pocket, not telling the group.

"Not to mention the manager telling them the gig only paid a fiver and a free beer each, pocketing the rest of the 100 Pounds they actually got paid.

"It's a game.

"In the end, though a good career in showbiz beckoned, I chose to get a normal job and live an honest life."

DO COMPETITIONS GET FIXED BY GAMBLING SYNDICATES?

Ronan Parke, who was 'got at' by an anonymous blogger.

There was a lot of betting on who was going to win 'Britain's Got Talent' in June 2011.

In the middle of May 2011, bookmakers Coral had singer Jai McDowall on odds of 25-1.

(Ayrshire singer Jai McDowall odds to win Britain's Got Talent ... - Scottish Daily Record - ‎May 16, 2011‎)

Jai McDowall "didn’t even make it past boot camp on last year’s X Factor so his talent is questionable, and it would take a big shift from traditional voting patterns for him to win the show." (Britain's Got Talent Tips and Predictions)

Imagine you bet a large sum on Jai.

Bet £40,000 and you could make a million.

You then use various tactics to make sure that Ronan Parke, the 'favourite', loses.

Before the TV contest took place, an anonymous blogger produced a blog entry which attacked Ronan.

Speaking of how the blog could have affected Ronan, TV mogul Simon Cowell said (Ronan Parke row):

"He could have got beaten up .... He could have lost his confidence."

RONAN PARKE - WAS IT RIGGED?

In the 'Britain's Got Talent' TV programme, on 4 June 2011, the favourite, Ronan Parke, ended up in second place.

So, the bookies are happy?

Was the voting rigged?

Bookmaker Ladbrokes Odds on the Outright Winner were:

Ronan Parke - 4/5

Jai McDowall - 14/1

Jai won the contest.

"Police have abandoned plans to launch an investigation into an online blog that claimed Britain's Got Talent was fixed, amid speculation it was a publicity stunt to boost ratings...

"Martin Troy, the owner of the JustPaste. It website where the article appeared, said he had had no contact from either British or German police over the matter.

"Mr Troy also confirmed that the blog had been posted by somebody in the UK using a connection to the internet from a cable TV provider." (Ronan Parke 'fix' inquiry is dropped by police as it may have been cooked up ... )

Ronan Parke went into the final as favourite to win the competition and the show's £100,000 prize.

"However, he ended up in second place after Scottish singer Jai McDowall, 24, was the shock winner - with just 2.5 per cent more votes than the schoolboy." (Ronan Parke 'fix' inquiry is dropped by police as it may have been cooked up ...)

Anner was clearly in the lead.

But in the span of an hour Doctor Phyllis suddenly took the lead.

The Huffington Post reported an increase of 300,000 votes in 20 minutes.

Reddit reported 600,000 in an hour.

Reportedly 'the source code' for the Phyllis' Vote button differed from that of all the other contestants.

THE GROOMING OF RONAN PARKE

Ronan Parke (Update: RONAN EMPIRE)

There have been internet rumours about a boy called Ronan Parke, a music mogul called Simon Cowell and the 'fixing' of a UK TV programme.

On 3 June 2011, Ronan Parke said: 'I've never met Simon in my life.

"I'd love to, but I never have.

'I've been coached by the same teacher in Norwich that we've paid for.

"No one's paid for my clothes or anything.

'It's really silly that people think that.

"They're just jealous that people are having a good time.

'I think it's great that Simon Cowell has put in the effort to get the police involved and everything and I'm happy they've said it's not true because it's definitely not.'

An anonymous document on the internet claimed that the UK TV show Britain's Got Talent is rigged.

"Lawyers for ... entertainment company Syco discovered the document originated in Germany and was spread via Twitter accounts in the UK." (BGT IN FIX CLAIM‎ )

Michael Deacon in The Telegraph writes:

"Ever noticed how, every single week during any TV series made by Simon Cowell, a fresh 'scandal' about it 'erupts'?

"... I know we all love a conspiracy theory.

"But really, the only person to benefit from this latest one, in a way, is Simon Cowell.

"Because the more eagerly people swallow these supposed "scandals" about his programmes, the more the viewing figures shoot up."

Yawn - it's another supposed Simon Cowell scandal

Ronan was not groomed, according to his Mum.

Was the story about Ronan Parke a hoax?

(The devastating indictment from a 'Sony Music executive')

It would seem so.

On 2 June 2011, Simon Cowell's company denied allegations that it had groomed Ronan Parke, the finalist in Britain's Got Talent.

Cowell's company threatened legal action against anyone who repeated the allegations.

An anonymous blogger, claiming to be a Sony Music executive, alleged that:

1. Ronan Parke has been known to Cowell's firm, Syco, for two years.

2. Ronan already has a management deal.

3. Ronan has been trained to appeal to the audience.

Ronan's Mum Maggie said "I am really angry. Ronan has worked so hard to get where he is."

Syco consulted the police about the blogger. (Simon Cowell calls cops over Ronan Parke fix claims)

Cowell's company and Sony Music said they would take legal action to "prevent further publication of these unfounded allegations".

Sony said in a statement:

"There has been speculation on the internet that Britain's Got Talent finalist Ronan Parke was known to and worked with Syco/Sony Music before entering the show. There is no truth in this story whatsoever.

"Ronan first came to Syco/Sony's attention when he entered this year's competition. Syco/Sony Music will not hesitate to take whatever legal action is appropriate to prevent further publication of these unfounded allegations."

Ronan Parke's mother Maggie says the 'grooming' story is untrue. (BBC News - Britain's Got Talent: Ronan Parke 'stardom' claim denied)

Maggie Parke said: "It's laughable, to be perfectly honest with you, and it couldn't be further from the truth.

"There's just no foundation in it whatsoever.

"My friend Susan Gunn told me that she'd seen it on the internet and we just had a laugh about it and didn't think any more about it because it's so untrue."

She said Ronan had applied to the show without her knowledge.

"It was just something he really wanted to do.

"He felt it was the right time for him to apply and the first we heard about it was when we got a phone call from Britain's Got Talent saying he had an audition," she said.
