THE MURDOCHS AND OTHER PRESS BARONS

Sir Keith Murdoch

Sir Keith Murdoch was the father of Rupert Murdoch.

Sir Keith Murdoch made his name reporting on British bungling at Gallipoli in 1915.

According to Piers Brendon, Sir Keith's report on Gallipoli "was a miasma of errors and exaggerations."

(Rupert Murdoch: The last of the great press barons? History Today)

Sir Keith became boss of the Herald newspaper group in Melbourne, Australia.

According to Brendon:

Sir Keith "employed ruthless measures in Melbourne’s circulation wars."

Sir Keith "turned his work-force into a private army."

Elisabeth Murdoch (daughter of Rupert) and her husband Matthew Freud, who is Jewish. "The Freud-Murdoch party mingled with the Rothschilds' house guests, including Peter Mandelson, George Osborne and the Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska." Freud has links to Obama. (Website)

Sir Keith "used his media to bully politicians such as Prime Minister Joseph Lyons, who got him a knighthood and advanced his interests.

"Keith once said that he had put Lyons into office and he would put him out."

Rupert Murdoch is more powerful than Keith Murdoch.

According to Brendon:

Rupert Murdoch has been "intimidating and cajoling politicians, mounting virulent attacks on liberal foes via The Sun or Fox News and supporting right-wing allies in return for commercial concessions – such as Tony Blair’s repeal of the ban on alien ownership of television companies and David Cameron’s pledge to emasculate Ofcom."

Rupert Murdoch: The last of the great press barons? History Today

On 10 November 2011, JAMES Murdoch was accused by a UK member of Parliament of being the first “Mafia boss in history” who didn’t know he was running a criminal enterprise.

Capo di tutti capi plays dumb when quizzed about Murdoch mafia.

Hearst

Piers Brendon also refers to other press barons:

"William Randolph Hearst ... gave regular paid employment to hoodlums...

"They not only terrorised striking journalists on the Chicago Examiner (themselves apt to extract information by vile means) but promoted its circulation by assaulting news vendors, about 30 of whom were murdered."

In Australia there were "such brutal, violent, racist, blackmailing Autralian press gangsters as Ezra Norton and Sir Kerry Packer."

MEDIA FAKERY?

VIDEO from: http://citizenfitz09.blogspot.com/

on 27 Aug 2009:

"Charles Jaco was the CNN reporter famous for covering the 1990 Persian Gulf War.

"The first part of this video shows the stage set he was on, and he was clowning around with fellow CNN staff.

"The Saudi Arabian 'hotel' in the background were fake palm trees and a blue wall in a studio.

"This clip was leaked by CNN staff. "The second part of this video was a live CNN satellite feed recorded onto VHS showing the final cut."

THE MEDIA'S ROLE IN COUPS

The CIA's Allen Pope during his trial in Jakarta, 28 December 1959. The CIA secretly bombed Christians in Indonesia, in order to topple President Sukarno. On 15 May 1958, a CIA plane bombed the Ambon marketplace, killing a large number of civilians on their way to church on Ascension Thursday. Three days later, during another bombing run over Ambon, a CIA pilot, Allen Lawrence Pope, was shot down and captured. (Indonesia 1957-1958 KH)

You have been lied to about Libya, Egypt and Tunisia.

When a coup is carried out by the CIA and its friends:

A. The media is instructed to tell lies about the leader who is to be toppled.

B. The CIA uses its assets to arrange civilian deaths.

Sukarno wanted to be friends with both Russia and the USA. The CIA decided he had to be toppled. So they undermined the Indonesian economy and started to carry out acts of terrorism, using Moslem extremists.

1. Back in the 1960's, the spies got the media to spread lies as part of their plot to topple President Sukarno, according to UK Foreign Office documents.

(http://www.independent.co.uk/story.jsp?story=20187 / http://www.bilderberg.org/sis.htm)

The BBC, the Observer and Reuters carried 'fake stories' manufactured by UK spies. (SPOOKY JOURNALISTS)

The BBC broadcast an invented story that Indonesian communists were planning to slaughter the people of Jakarta.

Cabinet papers show that British spies supported Islamic guerrillas in order to destabilise Sukarno.

Former government minister Lord Healey said the UK spies: "put forged documents on the bodies of Indonesian soldiers we had taken."

In order to topple Sukarno, the CIA slaughtered Indonesian Christians and tried to blame it on Moslems. (THE USA IN INDONESIA)

The CIA and its friends used its assets in the Indonesian military to remove Sukarno.

Who has been doing the killings in North Africa?

Can we believe the media?

Salbuchi

2. The media pretends that these North African coups are about 'Democracy'. (mounting pressure to go)

According to Argentinian economist Adrian Salbuchi:

There are dark forces fueling the protests.

These dark forces aim to weaken nation-states.

Tarpley

3. Mubarak was undermined by the media.

According to Webster Tarpley, "Mubarak ... proved incapable of keeping out foreign television correspondents who were little more than destabilization agitators..."

Mubarak was hated by the USA and Israel, but this is not what we are being told by the media.

(MUBARAK OPPOSED USA'S 'GREATER MIDDLE EAST'/ ISRAEL WANTS MUBARAK TOPPLED/ WHAT THE USA REALLY THINKS ABOUT EGYPT)

Webster Tarpley suggests that Mubarak was toppled by CIA because he opposed US Plans.

Tarpley reports that Mubarak was toppled by a junta of CIA puppet generals.

"With the fall of Mubarak, the Middle East has taken a big step on the road to general war...

"The destabilization was begun by gathering the privileged youth of the upper middle classes - the ones with access to the Internet, Google, Facebook, and Twitter - in Tahrir Square, where ... they provided a photo opportunity for the Al Jazeera television network, which shamelessly served as the demagogic speaking tube of British intelligence...

"The Cairo metropolitan area numbers almost 20 million, but the anti-Mubarak forces had a very hard time ever getting above 50,000 or so...

"The April 6 Movement ... turned out to be a clone or knockoff of the original color revolution vehicle, the Serbian Otpor! of 1999-2000 which had been used by the National Endowment for Democracy to overthrow Milosevic.

"Apparently feeling the pinch of budget austerity, the CIA had recycled the fist salute logo of the Serbian group directly into the Egyptian one...

"When the golden youth needed numerical reinforcements, they called in the British Freemasonry known as the Moslem Brotherhood...

"Protesters systematically burned police stations...

"The Washington consensus is that these multi-decade rulers are not dependent enough on NATO, the International Monetary Fund, and so forth. Washington and London need total ... puppets...

The La Belle Disco was bombed. The media then told lies about Gaddafi. aangirfan: TERRORISM 1910 - 2010

"One US hypothesis for the future of Egypt is simply a continuation of the existing regime...

"Another possibility is ... the creation of a ... Sunni caliphate which the US could use to challenge (and consolidate) the ... Shiite caliphate...

"Another possibility is that Egypt and many other countries simply descend into chaos, leaving the imperialists the possibility of intervening to seize selected assets, such as the Algerian or Libyan oil fields, or Egypt’s Suez Canal...

"Egypt’s highly beneficial system of price subsidies for low income workers had been mercilessly slashed over recent years under pressure from the IMF, although it could still provide some degree of protection...

"Many of these problems are of course of the responsibility of Wall Street and London zombie bankers and hedge fund hyenas, and are beyond the purview of the Mubarak regime...

"Finally, there was a heavy weight of authoritarian repression under the emergency laws which Mubarak had implemented in 1981, in the wake of the assassination of his predecessor Anwar Sadat by the US-UK — with the help of networks inside the Muslim brotherhood, including one led by Zawahiri, later the legendary right-hand man of Osama bin Laden."

Its the CIA and its friends who do the terrorism?

4. There has been a lot of fakery.

Revealed: Air Force ordered software to manage army of fake virtual people.

"'Persona management software' can be used to manipulate public opinion on key information, such as news reports.

"An unlimited number of virtual 'people' could be marshaled by only a few real individuals, empowering them to create the illusion of consensus...

"That's precisely what got DailyKos blogger Happy Rockefeller in a snit: the potential for military-run armies of fake people manipulating and, in some cases, even manufacturing the appearance of public opinion...

"It was Rockefeller who was first to highlight the Air Force's 'persona' contract, which was available on a public website.

"A call to MacDill Air Force Base, requesting an explanation of the contract and what this software might be used for, was answered by a public affairs officer who promised a call-back. No reply was received at time of this story's publication..."

I love a holiday!

I love having today off of work, except for the fact that I woke up and thought it was Sunday and was mentally telling myself to get the laundry together and get it started. But then I remembered it was indeed Monday and I had no work. Ah, love it!

I headed off to the movie theater to take in a viewing of "Knight and Day", starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.

It was a cute movie. I definitely recommend seeing it if you want a cute, nonsense movie. Tom Cruise is definitely getting old, but his smile is still charming. (And I can forgive some of his batty behavior in real life when he entertains me.) Cameron Diaz, I have a love/hate relationship with. I both love and hate her for the same thing -- she plays such ditzy characters in most of her roles, but at the same time they are so endearing in an "I feel the same way" way.

I tried to go see "Knight and Day" yesterday, actually. Got in the theater, got my seat, and found out the reel was broken. They gave options - the next showing of the movie was rented out by a church (more on that in a minute), the new reel would be there in 5 hours, "Grown-Ups" had been on for 25 minutes, "Shrek" had been on for 10 minutes, "Twilight: Eclipse" was staring in 10 minutes, or I could get a refund. I am not going to see a movie that is already started and this may be an unpopular opinion, but I am NOT seeing any of the Twilight movies. I took the refund and came back today.

There is a church that rents out one of the auditoriums every Sunday for services. Then as a thank you, I guess, for coming to the service, they get a free movie from the church? That is bizarre to me.

While I find the whole Twilight business to be silly, I did get a laugh when Jen Lancaster decided to stage another Jennsylvania production of Eclipse.
Team Edward, Team Jacob, or Team Take Your Pants Off.

In the literary side of my life, I am reading "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I have stalled reading this book for a long time. I have looked at it numerous times since it came out and each time passed on reading it. There is so much hype around the book that I kept telling myself that it wasn't the right time to read it, that this book has a large reputation attached to it and I needed to be able to give it the attention that it deserved. I finally settled down with it and started to read it. I am now getting to a point in the book, towards the end of the "Eat" portion that it is starting to "speak" to me. She brings up thoughts in her head that resonate with thoughts that I have had. But I have to say that overall so far, the hype has done more damage than good. I went in reading this, expecting more than it offers. I said something about it and my friend, Nicole, replied that there was more hype than needed. It is a good and interesting, read, however, and I am finishing it and enjoying it. Not sure what book is up next....

And the Emmy goes to...

Last night the 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards aired live from Las Vegas. I love the daytime genre, I love my soap operas. However, the awards show was just a great big disappointment. I get what they were trying to do -- have it in Vegas, feature Vegas show stuff (The Lion King, The Blue Man Group, and Cirque De Soleil) and hopefully draw in many more viewers with the "spectacle" of Vegas. Here is the problem -- you forgot the soap fans. There was no red carpet. Errol at Soap Opera Network, bless him, tried to do a live streaming red carpet show on the internet but it kept going down. Regis Philbin was like a dead fish. The tribute to Dick Clark, while touching, was too long. They didn't show clips of the submitted reels by the nominees so you would see a bit of the acting, instead showing a choppy blip of a scene with their name and network below. The voice over that did the announcing of the nominees was very abrupt and disconnected. There was no "In Memory Of" montage for the actors that were lost this past year. "As The World Turns", which is being canceled after 50 years on TV, had a minute long montage to tell them farewell. And there was a 30 second clip for each show that was nominated for best show. All around, just a big disappointment.

But there was fashion!!!

Julie Pinson was absolutely beautiful in fuchsia!

Denise Vasi had on one of my fave gowns. I loved the colors and I LOVE the shoes!!

Michael Easton looked HOT!

Am not quite sure about Melissa Archer's dress...it was definitely of the Vegas show variety. (I was just hoping she wouldn't jump up or bend over...she would have been showing the goods to the world.)

Lisa LoCicero was stunning and one of the two that has my vote for best dressed.

Brandon Barash's tie was awesome! He was looking sexy.

Sarah Brown's dress was great, but she just looked a little pale all together.

Michelle Stafford also went for the brazen Vegas theme. Her dress was better than Melissa Archer's.

A simple black dress, but eeeep! It is Brenda Barrett! I can't wait for Vanessa Marcil to return to "General Hospital"!!

Kelly Monaco was lovely, as usual. Jonathan Jackson looks like he is 12. :)

Ricky Paull Goldin (w/ Chrishell Stause) is just hot! Sexy! My fave guy of the night!

and in the WTF was she thinking category:

Marie Osmond stands alone in the worst dressed!

La-la-la-la-la-la Sing a smurfy song...

I'm kind of cautiously excited about The Smurfs movie.

The Smurfs always bring memories of my cousin, Joyce, to mind. She used to have a large collection of Smurfs when I was younger and I thought she was just the coolest person ever -- she loved horses, she had all these awesome Smurfs on display, and she didn't treat me like an annoying little cousin. :) Good memories!

Book rec!

(I apologize...I've been in a bit of a blogging funk lately. Stick with me, kiddies, it will get better and I'll be back to posting daily and with purpose.)

I just finished Not Ready for Mom Jeans by Maureen Lipinski. It is the follow up to last years debut novel A Bump in the Road. The book follows Clare Finnegan, event planner/blogger, through the first year of motherhood. The book is full of quirky characters that are so real you will be nodding your head, thinking "oh yeah, I know THAT person." I guarantee you are going to love it. (Both books, if you haven't read the first one!)

The World's Best Newspaper?

The UK's Daily Mail comes up with some of the very best news stories.

Here's one: academics claim 9/11 was 'inside job' Mail Online

It was the UK's Daily Mail which 'falsely' reported that former child star Mark Lester had allowed his son to share a bedroom with Michael Jackson.

However, the Mail championed the case of Stephen Lawrence, a black teenager who was murdered in a racially motivated attack in Eltham, London in April 1993.

The Mail broke with the establishment media consensus over the 2008 South Ossetia war between Russia and Georgia.

"The Mail accused the British government of dragging Britain into an unnecessary confrontation with Russia and of hypocrisy regarding its protests over Russian recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia's independence, citing the British government's own recognition of Kosovo's independence from Russia's ally Serbia." [35] (Daily Mail - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

The Daily Mail in Ireland.

The Daily Mail is the the United Kingdom's second biggest-selling daily newspaper.

It is very much 'on the ball' and produces some of the best news stories.

The publisher of the Mail is the Daily Mail and General Trust .

The Mail has the third-largest circulation of any English language daily newspaper and one of the highest in the world.[4].

The Mail is not owned by Americans or Jews.

Sometimes the Mail appears to contain establishment propaganda; but sometimes it spills the beans.

Tony Rennell, in the UK's Daily Mail, 6th August 2005, wrote about 9 11:

"Towers that fell ‘like a controlled demolition’.

"Planes that vanished then mysteriously reappeared, and crucial evidence that has been lost for ever...

"The plot by America’s military bosses was devilish in both design and intent – to fabricate an outrage against innocent civilians, fool the world and provide a pretext for war.

"In the pentagon, a top secret team drew up a plan to simultaneously send up two airliners painted and numbered exactly the same, one from a civil airport in America, the other from a secret military airbase nearby.

"The one from the airport would have military personnel on board who had checked in as ordinary passengers under false names. The one from the airbase would be an empty drone, a remote-controlled unmanned aircraft.

Another interesting Daily Mail story.

"Somewhere along their joint flight paths, the passenger-carrying plane would drop below radar height, and disappear, landing back at the airbase and unloading its occupants in secret.

"Meanwhile, the drone would have taken up the other plane’s designated course. High over the island of Cuba, it would be exploded in mid-air after broadcasting an international distress call that it was under attack from enemy fighters.

"The world would be told that a plane load of blameless American holidaymakers had been deliberately shot down by Fidel Castro’s Communists – and that the US had no choice but to declare war and topple his regime.

"This ‘agent provocateur’ plan – code named OPERATION NORTHWOODS and revealed in official archives – dates from 1962 when the Cold War was at its height.

"Four decades later, there are a growing number of people who look back at this proto-conspiracy and then to the events of 9/11 and see uncanny and frightening modern parallels.

"For Cuba, read Iraq... For the dummy airliner, read the Twin Towers in New York...."

Video made for the mock training exercise?

On 4 July 2009, the UK's Daily Mail newspaper has this headline:

Conspiracy fever: As rumours swell that the government staged 7/7, victims' relatives call for a proper inquiry

The Mail asks: which train did the four Muslims catch from Luton to London on the morning of the bomb blasts?

The three separate Tube explosions at Edgware Road, Aldgate and King's Cross occurred together at exactly 8.50am.

The official reports said the bombers got on the 7.40am train from Luton.

However, the 7.40am train never ran that morning.

It was cancelled.

Survivors pointed out the error.

The Government then changed its mind and said the bombers caught the 7.25 am from Luton, for the 35-minute journey to King's Cross.

It was due to arrive in the capital at 8am.

However, this train ran 23 minutes late.

It arrived in London at 8.23am, say station officials.

The three separate Tube explosions at Edgware Road, Aldgate and King's Cross occurred together at exactly 8.50am.

It looks as if it would be impossible for the 'bombers' to get to their different destinations in time.

Reportedly, it takes seven minutes to walk from the Thameslink line station to the tube station at the main King's Cross station.

Police say the four men were seen on the main King's Cross concourse at 8.26am, although no CCTV footage has ever been made public.

How had the men got there in three short minutes after getting off the Luton train at 8.23am?

Controversially, no CCTV images have been released of the alleged bombers actually in London.

There is a picture claiming to show the 'bombers' in Luton. In this Luton image "the quality is poor and the faces of three of the bombers are unidentifiable."

This photo is timed at four seconds before 7.22am.

The men would have had just three minutes to walk up the stairs at Luton, buy their £22 day return tickets and get to the platform, which was packed with commuters because of the earlier travel disruptions.

A video called Ripple Effect accuses Tony Blair, and elements of the Government, the police, and the British and Israeli Secret Services of carrying out the London Tube bombings.

It is alleged that the four British Muslims were tricked into taking part in what they were told would be a mock anti-terror training exercise.

The Ripple Effect video claims government agents set off pre-planted explosives under the three Tube trains and on the bus.

It suggests that the four Muslims were not on any of the Tube trains.

Dr Mohammad Naseem, the chairman of Birmingham's Central Mosque, says: 'We do not accept the government version of July 7, 2005. The Ripple Effect video is more convincing than the official statements.'

Naseem has said that the identities of the bombers were discovered by the police suspiciously quickly.

'When a body is blown up, it is destroyed. How is it that the identification papers found at the bomb scenes of these men were still intact? Were they planted?'

The Daily mail asks:

Why did the four bombers get return tickets to London if they were on a one-way suicide mission?

Why are there no CCTV images of the four together in London even though the city has thousands upon thousands of such cameras in public places?

Why did so many survivors of the Tube bombings say that the explosions came upwards through the floor of the trains, not down, as would be the case if a backpack blew up inside?

And why do no passengers on the London-bound Luton train clearly remember the four bombers with their huge rucksacks on that fateful morning?

There was a mock terrorist exercise going on in London that day.

Former Scotland Yard officer Peter Power said on BBC radio: 'At half-past nine this morning we were running an exercise for a company of over a thousand people in London based on simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning, so I still have the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.'
