UK TROOPS REPORTED KILLED IN LIBYA

The Russian press broke the story of the 17 captured British and French commandos on August 23

According to information from Tripoli, serious losses have been suffered in Libya by British special forces

On 23 August 2011, Argumenty.ru's Alexander Grigoriev reported:

According to a source in Tripoli, several British SAS special forces soldiers have been killed in Libya.

Some SAS soldiers have been taken prisoner by Gaddafi forces.

British military expert Peter Benchley believes that dead British soldiers have been evacuated from Libya.

In a conversation with Argumentami.ru, he suggested that it is likely that soon in Afghanistan or Pakistan there will be a report of a Taliban attack, during which troops will reportedly die.

According to The Guardian (SAS in Libya.):

"A number of serving British special forces soldiers, as well as former SAS troopers, are advising and training rebel forces, although their presence is officially denied.

"The Guardian has previously reported the presence of former British special forces troops, now employed by private security companies and funded by a number of sources, including Qatar.

"They have been joined by a number of serving SAS soldiers."

THE WRECKING OF NORTH AFRICA

SAS enters Libya (Mail on Sunday).

Libya, once one of the poorest countries in the world, now has the highest Human Development Index score in Africa. (Wikipedia.)

It is well ahead of certain countries in Europe, thanks to Gaddafi.

On 26 February 2011, at the UK's Independent, Peter Popham had an article entitled "Tribalism is key to the Libya's future". (Thanks to Blackwatch for the link)

Popham makes the following points:

1. Gaddafi came to power as a force for modernisation.

2. He "turned the desert green ... and raised the literacy rate from 17% to 80%.

3. He called for an end to tribalism.

Tribalisms influence has weakened, "as more modern ties of schooling and urban neighbourhoods gained in importance."

According to former British ambassador Sir Richard Dalton: "Tribal origins have no existence in Libyan institutions or in public affairs."

BUT, Gaddafi opposed the New World Order, and so his country has to be wrecked.

On 27th February 2011 we read that the UK's notorious SAS are in Libya.

"The Special Forces soldiers landed in two C130 Hercules military transport aircraft on a landing strip ... south of the eastern port of Benghazi...

"A senior source confirmed that an advance party of SAS men had been in Libya for several days...

"The SAS party had sneaked into Libya in plain clothes on commercial flights...

The UK's HMS Cumberland "is due to return to Benghazi".

Another Royal Navy ship, the destroyer HMS York, "has also been deployed on standby".

On 26 February 2011, three people were killed in clashes in Tunisia's capital: (ministry)

Now that Tunisia has been wrecked, thousands are fleeing. (Chaos, militant Islam and thousands fleeing Tunisia.)

According to the Mail on Sunday:

On 20 February 2011 demonstrations continued in Tunisia.

"I see one father with his son, aged five.

"As the police fire warning bullets into the blue sky, I ask him if he is afraid for his child.

"He unzips the boy’s jacket to expose his chest.

"‘My son is ready to take a bullet to the heart for freedom,’ he says.

"The child’s face crumples..."

"I meet 36-year-old Muhammed.

"He also dreams of getting rich, but not in Tunisia.

"He is unemployed and does not care about the revolution...

"'A few days ago, I heard from a friend of a boat going from Zarzis to Italy.

"I paid $1,800...

"What about the revolution? I ask him.

"'I don’t care about revolution. My dream is Italy,' he says"

The Italian government says 300,000 may try to reach Europe...

Tunisia ... was renowned for being the most liberal of Muslim countries.

"There are troubling signs ... A Polish priest had his throat slit in a suburb of Tunis...

"The Vatican news agency said he was beheaded."

Afghanistan

The Pentagon plan may be to make North Africa just like Afghanistan.

"The gangsters, both foreign and Afghan, are the ones now in control of Afghanistan," says General Ali Shah Paktiawol, the former head of Kabul’s Criminal Investigation Department. (How to make a killing in Kabul.)

US TO INVADE LIBYA?

Mubarak wanted Nukes, to deter Israel.

The United States does not rule out military action 'in response to the Libyan crackdown'. (Gun battles rage in Libya, US examines options )

Remember when NATO broke up Yugoslavia.

British special forces are ready to go to Libya (Libya: Special forces could help evacuate stranded oil workers)

UK and US special forces have already been working alongside Libyan special forces. (SAS trains Libyan troops - Telegraph)

The US and Libyan military sometimes work together.

On 23 February 2011, Yoichi Shimatsu, at New America Media, writes that America's Next War Looms in Libya

From this we learn:

1. On 22 February 2011, Gaddafi accused the USA of organising the current rebellion against his regime.

Now there are calls for the U.S. military to impose a no-fly zone over Libyan airspace, as was done over Kosovo during the NATO campaign to partition Yugoslavia in the late 1990s.

"In the Balkans case, the no-fly policy led to shoot-downs followed by an invasion of ground troops."

2. The Pentagon has a special forces base in the southwestern region of Fezzan in Libya.

Under a $165 million contract, General Dynamics provided high-tech communications for Libya's mobile elite forces.

The US Embassy's Jared Caplan talking with Libyan officials in the south region of Libya.

3. As shown in U.S. diplomatic cables, the US intrigues against Gadhafi involve secret ties with the Islamic Fighting Group, or al-Jamaa al-Islamiyya al-Muqatilah, which is on the State Department list of terrorist groups.

4. When confronted by Libyan officials, Al Jazeera producers admitted to broadcasting faked tapes.

For example, fake tapes of jets flying (in daylight) over protesters (in nighttime darkness).

That admission of falsified images could back the regime's claims of atrocities against civilians being exaggerated and sometimes fabricated.

SAS in Libya, WWII

5. What is happening across North Africa, is a U.S.-sponsored Islamic uprising, similar to the bloody Muslim coup against Indonesian independence leader Sukarno.

6. Mubarak wanted Egypt to have nuclear weapons in order to restrain Israeli aggression in Gaza and Lebanon.

The supplier of uranium would be Libya.

There has been a French-Libyan agreement to jointly build a civilian nuclear power plant, proposed during President Nicholas Sarkozy's visit to Tripoli in July 2007.

Libyan-Chadian uranium could be transported to Egypt via Ben Ali's Tunisia.

"Washington, as the protector of Israel's nuclear monopoly over the Mideast and Africa, went for a takedown of all three regimes."

Remember that Britain's SAS trained the Khmer Rouge

.

At a time when the USA is supporting Israel's actions in Palestine, we should remember that the USA and UK supported Pol Pot and his murderous Khmer Rouge.

The Kmer Rouge killed off around one quarter of Cambodia's population.

Vietnam was pro-Russia.

Pol Pot was not pro-Russia.

So the USA and UK supported Pol Pot.

POL POT

In 1970, Cambodia's head of state Prince Sihanouk was toppled by pro-American forces.

In the early 1970s, the USA was bombing sections of Cambodia as part of its Vietnam War. This helped win recruits for Pol Pot.

Pol Pot ran the government of Cambodia from 1975 until 1979, although he was influential before 1975.

In 1972, the Vietnamese intervened in Cambodia against Pol pot's group.

"Washington took immediate steps to preserve the Khmer Rouge as a guerrilla movement," according to Jack Colhoun in Covert Action Quarterly magazine, Summer 1990. (US supports Pol Pot)

Zbigniew Brzezinski said, "I encouraged the Chinese to support Pol Pot. I encouraged the Thai to help the DK (Democratic Kampuchea)."

The USA allowed the Khmer Rouge to use camps in Thailand.

John Pilger, 17 April 2000, wrote in the New Statesman, about US and UK help to Pol Pot. (New Statesman - How Thatcher gave Pol Pot a hand)

Almost two million Cambodians died as a result of Pol Pot.

John Pilger argues that these lives could have been saved if the US and Britain had not helped Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge.

Kissinger

The illegal bombing of neutral Cambodia by President Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger, between 1969 and 1973, killed an estimated half a million Cambodians, and helped Pol Pot gain recruits.

The Khmer Rouge were overthrown by the Vietnamese at the end of 1978.

In the years that followed, the US and the UK's Thatcher government, backed Pol Pot in exile in Thailand.

Khmer Rouge representatives were allowed to continue occupying Cambodia's seat at the UN.

Brzezinski

In 1981, President Jimmy Carter's national security adviser, Zbigniew Brzezinski, said: "I encouraged the Chinese to support Pol Pot."

The US, he said, "winked publicly" as China sent arms to the Khmer Rouge.

The US secretly funded Pol Pot in exile.

This was revealed in correspondence to a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

In November 1980, Dr Ray Cline, a former deputy director of the CIA, made a visit to a Khmer Rouge operational headquarters.

In 1982, the US invented the Coalition of the Democratic Government of Kampuchea.

According to John pilger, the 'Coalition' was dominated, diplomatically and militarily, by the Khmer Rouge.

One of Pol Pot's closet cronies, Thaoun Prasith, ran the office at the UN in New York.

Britain's Special Air Services (SAS) regiment.

In 1989, the British role in Cambodia was revealed.

In the Sunday Telegraph, Simon O'Dwyer-Russell, revealed that the SAS was training the Pol Pot-led force.

Jane's Defence Weekly reported that the British training for the members of the 'coalition' had been going on "at secret bases in Thailand for more than four years".

The instructors were from the SAS, "all serving military personnel, all veterans of the Falklands conflict, led by a captain".

The Cambodian training became an exclusively British operation after 1986.

In 1991, John pilger interviewed a member of "R" (reserve) Squadron of the SAS, who had served on the border.

"We trained the KR in a lot of technical stuff - a lot about mines," he said.

"We used mines that came originally from Royal Ordnance in Britain, which we got by way of Egypt with marking changed . . .

"We even gave them psychological training. At first, they wanted to go into the villages and just chop people up. We told them how to go easy . . ."

Thatcher knew.

On 25 June 1991, after two years of denials, the UK government finally admitted that the SAS had been secretly training the "resistance" since 1983.

A report by Asia Watch filled in the detail: the SAS had taught "the use of improvised explosive devices, booby traps and the manufacture and use of time-delay devices".

The author of the report, Rae McGrath (who shared a joint Nobel Peace Prize for the international campaign on landmines), wrote in the Guardian that "the SAS training was a criminally irresponsible and cynical policy".

In 1992, a UN "peacekeeping force" arrived in Cambodia.

The Khmer Rouge was welcomed back to Phnom Penh by UN officials.

Khieu Samphan, Pol Pot's prime minister during the years of genocide, took the salute of UN troops with their commander, the Australian general John Sanderson, at his side.

The result of the UN's involvement was 'the unofficial ceding of at least a quarter of Cambodia to the Khmer Rouge (according to UN military maps).'
