Just another manic Monday!

It was a busy weekend with some Cabaret, Krispy Kreme donuts, niece’s 6th birthday party, some good cinema, pancakes, and good laughs. Along with a couple of simply divine naps thrown in for good measure. (Insomnia is not my friend…I quite dislike it. So I nap when I can lately.) We used to have Krispy Kreme donuts all over the valley, but they all went out of business and closed. Maybe a year ago, they re-opened three of them. Tina and I were way early for the Cabaret show on Friday night so we decided to take a donut detour. The new Krispy Kreme is in a large building now, the downside is no drive-thru so you have to find parking in a busy area. They have a wii set up for the kiddos and really nice interior seating. The best part, though, is the milk bar. You could either get a “shot” of milk or a glass and there were numerous flavor shots that you could get put in your drink. Awesome.

I went to see “Red” on Saturday night…it was pretty good. I absolutely love Bruce Willis. I have a massive crush on him and have since “Moonlighting”. The cast was pretty solid. Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirrin, John Malkovich, Richard Dreyfus, Mary Louise Parker, and Karl Urban (whom I love from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and he was McCoy in the new Star Trek reboot). I definitely recommend it.

Speaking of lovely cinema, The Reel: Box Office Buzz is back! I will be contributing a weekly movie review over there.

And even more lovely news – my best friend, Rose, is back in the blogging saddle! Check her out: Brown-Eyed Girl's Glance at the World. I also want to disclaimer here that I reserve the right to deny any stories she tells that involve my person. Her memory gets a little hazy sometimes and she forgets that she causes the chaos, not me.

I would take time on my soap box and talk about condescending work attitudes and those “friends” that are really just more trouble/drama than anything else, but I don’t have the time or energy to even bother. Oh hell, I am going to say this -- The mere fact that *you* spend so much of your time asking if people are jealous of you is pretty sad. The fact is no, no one is jealous, people pity you and the empty shell that you call your life. When the only thing that gets you through the day is to wonder who is jealous of you, that is sad.
