On the one hand:

A neocon, Israeli firster, Jennifer Rubin, denounces Ron Paul; that should tell you something.

On the other hand:

Criticism of Paul's position on Sound Money.

I don't think a gold standard would be practical, but the underlining principle is Sound Money to avoid hyper-inflation.

Since 1913, when the Fed was created, the Dollar has decreased in value by 96% (that's a lot of inflation).

Ron Paul's main issue is to tackle the Federal Reserve System (private international bankers, who control the money supply).

The super rich are the ones who benefit from high inflation, as opposed to those on fixed incomes (retirees) and low incomes.

Huge amounts of credit (debt) is provided for the super rich to invest and buy up assets. Wealth is concentrated in the top 1%.

Or credit (debt) is extended to countries that can never repay the debt and in turn sign over natural resources and/or physical assets, or provide military bases, or set up laws favorable for foreign investors, which allow them to gain control of the most profitable parts of the economy, see Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, by John Perkins.

But with the creation of money "out of thin air" exceeding growth in the economy, inflation is the result.

Also, inflation is one way the Middle Class is reduced (the other way is outsourcing & offshoring).
Ron Paul stands against "inflation for the rich".

Ron Paul supports the idea that Sound Money will spur economic growth distributed up & down the economic ladder.

Mixed in are issues surrounding Ronald Reagan's condoning homosexuals in his administrations (both state & federal). What does that have to do with Ron Paul?

A number of Republicans supported Ronald Reagan.

The alternative was incumbent President Jimmy Carter, who had substantial backing from the Trilateral Commission (Carter was a member) founded by David Rockefeller.

Carter (Trilateral Commission?) policy caused stag-flation (inflation without economic growth). Reagan policy helped break the stag-flation cycle.

David Rockefeller supports 'one world government' and is a Bilderberg member (elite power group).

The Republican establishment backed George H. W. Bush in the nomination race against Reagan in 1980.

George H. W. Bush pushed for, quote, "a New World Order".

My perception is that Aangirfan is based in the United Kingdom (I could be wrong).

At this point in time, Ron Paul is the best bet to stop this elite drive for a New World Order.

Nawaf al-Hamzi and Khalid al-Mihdhar were two Saudi nationals who were reportedly aboard planes that crashed on 9/11.



They were known by US intelligence to be members of Al Qaeda at least since 1999.



The two were allowed into the US, and were found accommodation with the help of a Saudi intelligence agent (Omar al-Bayoumi) and, later, an FBI asset (Abdussattar Shaikh).



Reportedly, Al-Bayoumi received financing from Princess Haifa, the wife of the Saudi ambassador to the US, Prince Bandar.



"Between April 1998 and May 2002, some $51-73,000 in checks and cashier's checks were provided by the Saudi Ambassador to the United States and his wife to two families in southern California, who in turn bankrolled at least two of the 9/11 hijackers." (Prince Bandar and 9/11)



It is assumed by many that the top Saudis carry out the wishes of the CIA.

Prince Bandar is said to be a friend of Mossad.



"Lebanon's Al-Manar TV station reported ... that Saudi Arabia was the country that provided the intelligence to Mossad, suggesting that Saudi Secretary General of the National Security Council Prince Bandar bin Sultan played a role in the cooperation between the intelligence agencies." - Arab country 'cooperates with Mossad'

The palatial vacation home, called Hala Ranch, is larger than the White House.

Bandar's US Mansion



According to Wikipedia, Bandar helped negotiate the 1985 Al Yamamah deal, a series of massive arms sales by the United Kingdom to Saudi Arabia worth GB£40 billion (US$80 billion), including the sale of more than 100 warplanes.



After the deal was signed, British arms manufacturer British Aerospace (now BAE Systems) allegedly funnelled secret payments of at least GB£1 billion (US$2 billion) into two Saudi embassy accounts in Washington, in yearly instalments of up to GB£120 million (US$240 million) over at least 10 years.



Bandar allegedly took money for personal use out of the accounts, as the purpose of one of the accounts was to pay the operating expenses of the prince's private Airbus A340.



According to investigators, there was "no distinction between the accounts of the embassy, or official government accounts [...], and the accounts of the royal family."



The payments were discovered during a Serious Fraud Office investigation, which was stopped in December 2006 by attorney general Lord Goldsmith.[7] [8]

In 2004, the UK's Serious Fraud Office began an investigation into arms sales to Saudi Arabia.



It was The Guardian which reportedly had discovered massive secret payments were going to Saudi princes, to promote arms deals.



Tony Blair eventually halted the fraud investigation, claiming that this was necessary in order to continue cooperation with Saudi Arabia in intelligence matters.

"Saudi Arabia's rulers threatened to make it easier for terrorists to attack London unless corruption investigations into their arms deals were halted, according to court documents revealed yesterday."



This looks like a piece of anti-Moslem fearmongering, of the sort that might be enjoyed by MI6?



Prince Bandar, the head of the Saudi national security council, and son of the crown prince, was alleged in court to have threatened that he might not cooperate with the British over security matters.



Prince Bandar is alleged to have received £1bn in secret payments from the arms company BAE.

Anti-corruption campaigners have now begun a legal action to overturn the decision to halt the fraud case. They want the original investigation restarted.



There are certain questions that The Guardian does not ask:



1. Are the Israelis trying to stop UK arms sales to Saudi Arabia?



2. Is the US arms industry trying to halt UK arms sales to Saudi Arabia?



3. If there is a terror attack in London, is it likely that the British Security services or the Saudi security services will know more about it?



4. Was the fraud investigation halted, not because of any fears of terrorism, but because of a wish to continue profitable arms deals?

State Department spokesman Ian Kelly has said that Zelaya is due in Washington to attend an emergency meeting of Organization of American States (OAS) foreign ministers.

Kelly said Clinton was not scheduled to meet Zelaya, either at the OAS meeting or privately.

A State Department official said Zelaya was expected to meet Thomas Shannon, the outgoing assistant secretary of state for Western Hemisphere Affairs.

This meeting would not take place at the State Department, an official stated.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs confirmed that Zelaya would not meet Obama.

Kelly added that the US government is currently reviewing US economic aid to Honduras, but has not yet taken a decision.

The Text of Barack Obama's Speech in Cairo, June 2009

(with some minor adjustments).

I am honored to be in the timeless city of Cairo, where, in 1954, Israeli Defense Minister Pinhas Lavon organized a series of terrorist attacks.

These attacks were intended to give the USA an excuse for a policy of trying to undermine the Egyptian government of Gamal Abdel Nasser.

I am grateful for the hospitality of the people of Egypt.

I bring a greeting of peace from Muslim communities in my country: assalaamu alaykum.

Jewish communities do not necessarily send this greeting.

We meet at a time of tension between the United States and Muslims around the world - tension rooted in the Pentagon's desire to grab the oil in various Moslem countries.

Violent extremists, reportedly paid by the CIA, have exploited tensions among a small but potent minority of Muslims.

The attack of September 11th, 2001 has led some in my country to view the Pentagon as inevitably hostile to human rights.

I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims.

If we are going to change the boundaries of countries such as Pakistan, we need a few Moslem allies.

As a boy, I spent several years in Moslem Indonesia, where my mother may, or may not, have been an agent of the CIA.

It was our lot that toppled Sukarno.

Islam carried the light of learning through many centuries.

It was Muslim communities that developed algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islam has demonstrated the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.

You may wonder why the Pentagon has backed leaders who have wanted to keep Muslims backward.

Was it President Carter who built up the mujahideen in Afghanistan?

Is America the crude stereotype of a self-interested empire?

The United States has been one of the greatest sources of progress that the world has ever known.

Think of the Vietnam War.

The situation in Afghanistan demonstrates America's goals.

We want oil pipelines, military bases, profits from heroin and valuable minerals.

Let us be clear: al Qaeda killed nearly 3,000 people on 9 11.

And al Qaeda is said to be the CIA.

Ideally, none of us should tolerate these 'CIA-Pentagon' extremists. They have killed in many countries.

Jewish settlements? Let's agree to keep the ones that already exist.

Peter Geithner is the director of the Asia program at the Ford Foundation in New York.

2. Timothy Geithner first job was with Kissinger Associates, where he worked with the former secretary of state.



Timothy Geithner was president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission and the Group of Thirty.



3. Timothy Geithner was involved in the talks that led to the Federal Reserves loan of $29 billion to assist J.P. Morgan Chase Co. in its buyout of the assets of Bear Sterns.

4. Peter Geithner oversaw the Ford Foundation's microfinance programs in Indonesia being developed by Ann Dunham-Soetoro, mother of President Barack Obama, and they met in person at least once.

At Undernews, 3 January 2009, we read that Barack Obama took a job at some point after graduating from Columbia University in 1983. (Obama - rising without trace.)



A New York Times story of 2007 identifies the company as Business International Corporation.



Business International provided cover for four CIA employees in various countries between 1955 and 1960.



The British journal, Lobster Magazine has reported that Business International was active in the 1980s promoting the candidacy of Washington-favored candidates in Australia and Fiji.



In 1987, the CIA overthrew the Fiji government after only one month in office because of its policy of maintaining the island as a nuclear-free zone, meaning that American nuclear-powered or nuclear-weapons-carrying ships could not make port calls.



After the Fiji coup, the candidate supported by Business International, who was much more amenable to Washington's nuclear desires, was reinstated to power.



Colony Net, 2008 - tells its readers that Obama spent time in Pakistan.



"No young American would have a reason to or be able to visit Pakistan in 1981, unless he was on official government business of which the State Department was aware. . ."



Ann Dunham, Obama's mother, worked for the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Ford Foundation, Women's World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank.



USAID and the Ford Foundation have (allegedly) been used as covers for CIA agents. . . .



Obama also was one of eight students selected to study sovietology by Columbia professor Zbigniew Brzezinski who, if he wasn't a CIA official, was as close as you can otherwise get. Brzesinski is now a member of Obama's inner circle.



The Review reported one of Bill Clinton's similarly interesting trips:



"1960s: Bill Clinton, according to several agency sources interviewed by biographer Roger Morris, works as a CIA informer while briefly and erratically a Rhodes Scholar in England. Although without visible means of support, he travels around Europe and the Soviet Union, staying at the ritziest hotel in Moscow. During this period the US government is using well educated assets such as Clinton as part of Operation Chaos, a major attempt to break student resistance to the war and the draft. According to former White House FBI agent Gary Aldrich Clinton is told by Oxford officials that he is no longer welcome there."

With American money, Barack Hussein Obama Sr. (1936–1982) was brought to the USA to study.

In 1992 Ann Dunham earned a Ph.D in anthropology from the University of Hawaii.
