What is the connection between Madeleine McCann and Plymouth?

When Madeleine disappeared, the people with the McCann parents were David Payne, Fiona Payne, Diane Webster, Matthew and Rachael Oldfield, Russell O’Brien and his partner Jane Tanner.

Mrs Payne, Mr O'Brien and Mrs Oldfield are reported to have told police that they saw Robert Murat at the Ocean Club on the night Madeleine disappeared.

Murat insists he spent all evening with his mother.
