Levi Aron and Leibby KletzyLevi Aron reportedly knew the family of the boy he murdered, 8 year-old Leibby Kletzky.
Leiby Kletzky was kidnapped on 11 July 2011, as he walked home from his school day camp in his Hasidic Jewish neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.
His dismembered body parts were found in the apartment of confessed suspect Levi Aron, aged 35, and in a dumpster in another Brooklyn neighborhood on July 13.
One reason why detectives are investigating whether or not Aron carried out this sort of crime before is "the abrupt change in his life six years ago.
"That's when he left his lifelong home in Brooklyn for Memphis, Tennessee after marrying a woman from there whom he'd met online.
"He stayed for two years, working as a kosher butcher in a supermarket for a time and as a security guard." (Levi Aron awaits arraignment.)
